A new study found that happiness is more contagious than previously thought.
Last we heard, the medical center devastated from Hurricane Ike was facing a very difficult recovery. In November, massive layoffs were announced.MedPage Today went to Texas and found that the news was not all bad: "They hope to reopen John Sealy Hospital for acute care -- for good -- within a week. Obstetrics and newborn services returned to UTMB a month ago and will remain in operation, as those hospital areas are unaffected by the air-quality issues."The loyalty of faculty and d...
A number of patients coming into the office have sheepishly admitted that they don't drink enough during the day--water or otherwise. How much is "enough?"The Journal of Physiology published this article, which attempted to review the extant evidence for or against the recommendation to drink at least eight 8 oz glasses of water per day. This recommendation is usually accompanied by the declaration that caffeinated beverages and alcohol don't count due to their diure...

While the N97 was free to fondle, the slightly less exciting E63 was decidedly bolted to a table, so we had to take what angles we could get. The phone is basically a cheap-o version of the E71: Nokia figured it had a good thing going on in that QWERTY candybar, and decided to spread the love at a lower price point, with a slightly thicker, plastic handset. The good news is that no matter what you do to cheapen the phone, the E63 comes from good stock, and is really a compelling form factor....
